The Niagara Parks Commission engaged Quartek Group Inc. to perform architectural and engineering services for the creation of a new interpretive centre at the historic fort in the Town of Fort Erie. Work of this contract comprised of the construction of a one-storey public space with partial basement. The Interpretive Centre consists of Orientation Space, Museum/Exhibit Space, Theatre, Public Washrooms and Staff Support in a dynamic architectural expression.
The design of the 16,145 sq. ft. new Centre is welcoming, well-integrated, designed to be an attractive facility that enhances the
heritage destination that is Old Fort Erie. The design focuses on the consolidation of exterior finishes creating a distinct “signature building”, symbolic of the Niagara Parks Commission.
As multi-disciplinary firm Quartek was able to provide a full range of planning, engineering, architecture and project management services to this project, including construction administration and field review.
