Doug Peters, President, and Robert MacKenzie, Board Chair, are very pleased to announce that the following have become Shareholders and Associates at Quartek Group Inc.

Sam Persano OAA, M. Arch., B. Arch. Tech., Sam is an Architect and has been with Quartek since 2003.  He has experience in design and project management for a wide variety of residential, institutional and commercial building projects.  Recent projects have included a number of financial institutions as well as culture/tourism facilities for Parks Canada and Niagara Parks Commission. Sam is also a skilled project administrator.

Michael Geremia. Mike is an architectural project manager with 30+ years of project management, design development, construction documentation, field review, and drafting experience. Prior to joining Quartek in 2006, Michael worked with Baker and Elmes Architects, Flemming and Baker Architects, and Lou Macie Architects. His extensive experience includes many schools, colleges, universities, and other institutional projects, as well as numerous new and renovation commercial/retail, industrial and residential projects. In his role as Quartek’s Senior Architectural Technologist, Michael organizes technical documentation for comprehensive construction instruction to contractors.

Adam Meyer, P. Eng. Adam is a graduate of McMaster University in electrical engineering and a member of Professional Engineers Ontario. His 10 years of experience at Quartek include a wide variety of experience in both design and preparation of drawings and specifications. Projects have included power distribution and lighting for numerous educational facilities from primary through post-secondary institutions, numerous financial institutions, commercial/retail buildings, multiple residential buildings, medical clinics and more.

Lee Curtis, Dipl.T., A. Sc. T., Lic. Tech. Lee has been with Quartek since 2006. He has an advanced diploma in Architectural Technology from Mohawk College and is a member of both the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) and the Ontario Association of Architects as a ‘Licensed Technologist OAA’. This designation adds value to the client as Lee can manage selected projects directly rather than under supervision of an architect. This competitive advantage reduces costs while still being able to liaise with architects and engineers. Lee has worked on a variety of projects in both public and private sectors. He is involved in all aspects of project management including conceptual design, 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) and contract administration. He currently leads our construction document production staff on most architectural and multi-disciplinary projects.

Quartek Group Inc. is a multi-disciplined design consultancy firm located in the Niagara Region. Quartek provides a full range of architectural, engineering and urban planning services to the development and building industry in Niagara and throughout Ontario.
