Austin Ann Kirkby (1943-2022)

The Quartek family passes along their thoughts and prayers on the death of Austin Kirkby, mother of Sue Janzen, long-time valued member of the team at Quartek. Austin was involved in many community endeavours, was a NOTL Town Councillor for many years, and was a strong, vocal and respected advocate for the local agricultural community. Some of us at Quartek had the opportunity to relate to her professionally and appreciate her forth-right attitude, her passion and her tenacity. She will be much missed by her family first, but also by the community and the many lives she touched. Some of us had the privilege to attend a celebration of life for Austin on October 15th, hearing tributes and stories of her legacy. There is more to read in the attached obituary.
