Quartek Group Inc. provided full Architectural and Engineering Services for the addition of a childcare centre and renovations of the existing Oakridge Catholic Elementary School and campus. The childcare centre designed program offers an infant room with a supporting sleeping room, a toddler room, and a pre-school room, both with supporting washrooms, a kitchen, and outdoor playground areas. In addition to the childcare program rooms is an admin office, staff room, and universal toilet room. Interior renovation of the classroom includes modernization and lighting upgrades and reconstruction of the exit stairs to accommodate the childcare addition.

The addition also required additional HVAC systems and a sprinkler system, which led to a service upgrade. Site improvements included the addition and restoration of the school’s playground areas and revised parking, bus, and fire lanes, including a bus drop-off area. These upgrades improved overall parking access, traffic flow, and site safety.
